Our Mission

To support the causes that were important to Jaime Guttenberg in her life, as well as the causes that deal with the way her life was tragically cut short.

Our Mission

On February 14th, 2018 our children were involved in the Parkland school shooting where they were both students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Our daughter Jaime, along with 16 other victims, was tragically murdered by a troubled former student. She was only 14 years old. We formed Orange Ribbons For Jaime (ORFJ), a 501(c)3, to honor our daughter by supporting causes important to her in life, but also causes that deal with the way her life was tragically cut short.

As a family directly affected by gun violence, we understand how hard it is to move forward. What has helped us is making sure our beautiful girl lives on by giving to others in her honor. Our foundation supports students of all abilities as Jaime was a fierce advocate for those with special needs. We support dance programs to continue acknowledging Jaime’s lifelong love of dance. We support animal programs since her dogs were her best friends. Lastly, we support families that have been directly affected by gun violence. Through our yearly scholarship program, through our program PAWS OF LOVE, and other organizations that we are involved in, we know Jaime’s legacy will live on in the hearts of so many.
