Dance Party Gala
The Gala is our primary fundraiser that supports our initiative “Paws Of Love”, a program in partnership with Moss Creek Goldendoodles, providing companion pups for emotional support to people that have been directly affected by gun violence. The Gala hosts dozens of guests who come to dance the night away in celebration of Jaime Guttenberg, and in celebration of the positive efforts being created in her memory. With the help of friends, family, sponsors, supporters as well as government officials, we have been able to give 8 deserving families new puppy angels of their own.
February #ForeverJaime
In honor of Jaime, we started an initiative called February’s #Forever Jaime Fundraiser. The fundraising initiative partners with an array of local & national businesses that make contributions either directly to the organization, and/or pledge to donate a percentage of sales. Through this effort, we have raised more than $90,000 to date!
Dance-A-Thon
ORFJ has hosted several successful Dance-A-Thons across the country with multiple in-person events, including a National Virtual Dance Party Event. Location sign up was FREE, and ALL registrants paid $25 to participate in the event, and upon registering received a link to the National Virtual Dance Party Event as well as a fundraising link.
Hundreds of friends and families have gathered for our Dance Parties to honor and celebrate the life of Jaime Guttenberg, raising more than $85,000! Proceeds went towards helping to continue expanding our organization’s initiatives.
Auction-A-Thon
During the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, ORFJ held a virtual Buy It Now Auction-A-Thon! Our second Auction-A-Thon was held again in 2022. Thanks to our generous donors, we have been able to raise more than $20,000 to date. Proceeds from this initiative went directly towards funding our Scholarships for students of ALL abilities in 2021, as well as PAWS OF LOVE.

Comedy Night
Members of the South Florida community had a special opportunity to attend a star-studded comedy show in support of our organization! “An Evening of Laughter” Comedy Night Fundraiser took place at the Parker Playhouse in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on Wednesday, February 19th 2020 at 8pm. The show brought laughter and smiles to hundreds and featured nationally-recognized comedians Alonzo Bodden (NBCʼs Last Comic Standing, Dr. Ken, Fresh Off the Boat, The Tonight Show), Jim Breuer (Saturday Night Live, Half-Baked, ESPN SportsCenter), and Jessica Kirson (The Comedian, The Howard Stern Show, The Tonight Show, The View). In the end, we raised more than $40,000 to support our programs & initiatives!
Father’s Day Raffle 2021
In recognition of Father’s Day, supporters were encouraged to buy raffle tickets for their chance to win The Ultimate Father’s Day Basket (which included up to $3,500 in gift cards and experiences). Local and national businesses provided us with items for the basket, and supporters had the option of purchasing 1 ticket for $10, 5 tickets for $25, 15 tickets for $50, and 40 tickets for $100. In the end, we raised more than $4,000!
Firefighters, Friendship, and Fun
In partnership with Friendship journey, we hosted “Firefighters, Friendships, and Fun” for the participants to be able to get an interactive experience at Deerfield Station #102. There was food, fun activities, and lots of smiles!
Friendship Journey at the Humane Society
In honor of Jaime’s birthday, Orange Ribbons For Jaime partnered with the Friendship Journey & Ms. Ellen’s Dance Class to host the Puppy Love Friendship Journey Event at the Humane Society of Broward County. This gave the members of the two listed organizations the opportunity to play with the dogs and have a lick & smile filled day! We also donated to the Humane Society for the event, $1000 total, and we donated $1000 to The Friendship Journey that day as well.
